Chapter Meeting
From SanFranciscoEVA
Next SFEVA Meeting!
When: Saturday, August 1, 2009 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Where: Luscious Garage, 459 Clementina St., SF http://www.lusciousgarage.com/
Program:
- a representative from Nissan will present: EV's on mainstreet: Nissan's Role
There’s a growing drumbeat of interest in electric vehicles by a whole new group of consumers. But, one thing is certain: In order to create a mainstream breakthrough and to forge an historic shift in the way we view the driving experience, many questions will need to be answered. Get a first-hand look at Nissan’s contribution to the shift, hear updates on their vision of becoming the first mass-marketer of EVs and, most importantly, hear a pitch to help the effort succeed.
Big news for attendees at this meeting: Be one of the first worldwide to see Nissan’s new EV via a series of pictures and fresh information that will be shared with SFEVA members just hours before the official unveiling of the product in Japan.
- Opportunities to see various EVs that will be on display.
- Open discussion to get your questions about EVs, conversion, and plug-in hybrids answered.
- A drawing for door prizes.
Who: Anyone interested in EVs of any type. Non-members are welcome to attend. Meetings are free and open to the public.
EV Charging: Free EV battery charging is available. See http://www.lusciousgarage.com/index.php/blog/ev_charging_now_available/
Parking: We would like to reserve the area closest to Luscious Garage for EVs and Plug-in hybrids. Street parking on Clementina is difficult. Please note that the one hour limit is strictly enforced. The 5th & Mission Parking Garage (on Mission St. between 5th and 4th Streets), which is 1.5 blocks away is fairly convenient.
Transit: Take MUNI or BART to Powell Street station, walk south on Market one-half block, turn left on 5th, go 2.5 city blocks, turn right on Clementina (between Howard and Folsom). From Marin, take the 9:40 AM ferry from Larkspur and use the free Muni transfer to the Powell Street Station.
Bicycles: You rock! Extra goodies if you arrive by pedal power.
