Things you can do to help speed the widespread adoption of EVs in the San Francisco Bay Area!
Volunteer to help at the SFEVA exhibit at the Marin County Fair
SFEVA will be participating in the Electric Wheels Car Show at the Marin County Fair. Volunteers are needed to staff the table at the exhibit to distribute literature and to talk with the fair visitors about the benefits of EVs. Watch for the "Call for Volunteers" announcement on the SFEVA Discussion List. If you aren't on the Discussion List, sign up now to receive important notices about SFEVA.
Bay Area Regional EV Initiative
Make sure your local government is participating in the Bay Area Regional EV Initiative. The government working group meetings to develop EV charging policies, review building code and permit procedures, and similar EV related issues have begun. You can learn about this program by attending the next SFEVA meeting.
Join Plug In America
Many SFEVA members also participate in Plug In America, a coalition that originally formed as DontCrush.com: The Campaign To Save Electric Cars. In 2005 the coalition saved hundreds of EVs from destruction by auto companies. Now Plug in America is focusing on getting new EVs to the market. Check out the details at http://www.pluginamerica.com.
